Who We Are
Welcome to our small museum, “Olive Cultivation and Oil Production”, a place where the tradition and history of the olive tree meet the present.
Here, in our restored olive mill that we named “The Kasomoulis Olive Mill” in honor and memory of its last owner, Konstantinos Kasomoulis, who operated it with hard work and dedication for more than thirty years,
we have created a living tribute to the cultivation of olives and the production of olive oil, a journey through time that highlights the richness of Greek agricultural heritage.
We are a family that loves history, culture, cultural heritage and rural life. With passion and respect, we restored this historic olive mill to keep the memories alive and to share with the world the magic of the process of producing “liquid gold”.
It is located within the settlement of Ano Potamia. It is a stone-built ground-floor building, inside which its original equipment is preserved. The threshing floor for crushing the fruit, the presses for pressing and the stone tank "limba" for the oil.
Its history begins in the mid-19th century, a time when the region and Ano Potamias were economically prosperous.
It operated from 1860 to 1970, for approximately 110 years.
